Professor of Infectious Diseases at the Paris University, and head of the department of Infectious Diseases at the Paris Saint-Louis Hospital. His research interest lies in HIV clinical research, in particular, the treatment of HIV infection, antiretroviral, drug-drug interactions in HIV, and the assessment of the efficacy and safety of new drugs or new strategies for the treatment of HIV infection.
ART initiation during primary HIV infection limits the establishment, diversity and distribution of the viral reservoir while preserving key lymphoid organs of the deleterious effects of persistent viral replication and chronic immune activation, favoring the optimal maturation of immune responses.
